Eye for Detail Campaign - Adam Handling

Adam Handling – Eye for Detail Campaign

We are delighted to introduce our new Eye for Detail series. We’ll be showcasing unique & creative glasses wearers who have an Eye for Detail every day, just like we do at David Clulow Opticians.

Since 1962 our experienced optical teams have been using an Eye for Detail to ensure your eye care is well looked after. We strive to offer tailored eye care, personal style advice & a curation of beautifully designed frames in every store.

Adam Handling

Adam Handling’s career in the culinary arts has been nothing short of illustrious. He was the first ever trainee chef at Gleneagles before becoming Fairmont’s youngest ever head chef, and is perhaps most recognisable from his impressive showing on the Great British Menu and as a finalist in MasterChef: The Professionals.  His passion and commitment to delivering the best quality ingredients, with huge amounts of creativity and zero waste is inspiring.

Adam uses his Eye for Detail every day, creating wonderful dishes that excite and surprise. We photographed Adam, in his restaurant Frog by Adam Handling and bar, Eve, in Covent Garden. Everywhere you look you can see Adam’s eye for detail, from the artwork covering the walls of his 4 restaurants and 2 bars to the way he talks about simple ingredients and their potential.

View the video, below, of Adam talking about his passion & creativity for food.

After spending an incredible day in a busy kitchen & bar with Adam and his team, we came away with some beautiful imagery, look out for these across our social media pages & reminder letters.

Ian Wright

Ian Wright’s career as an illustrator has spanned 4 decades, with his artwork being used for some incredible album artwork including The Undertones’ Teenage Kicks 7’’ single in the late 1970s, all the way to T.I.’s iconic Paper Trail album cover made entirely with ripped pieces of paper. He has worked on projects for luxury fashion house Givenchy & famous boxer Mike Tyson, to say he has had a varied career is an understatement.

We were lucky enough to catch up with Ian, at his studio in South London, talk about his inspiration & how he uses his Eye for Detail when creating his inspiring artwork. View the story here.
