This Christmas we’ve partnered with Gaz Oakley, otherwise known as Avant Garde Vegan, to share with us one of his favourite recipes from his Christmas cook book which has over 70 amazing vegan recipes for the festive season.
Gaz has created the ultimate vegan Yorkshire puddings with only 5 ingredients and a few simple steps this is definitely worth giving a go this Christmas.
You can view the recipe & his video below to see how he perfected them. As they say practice makes perfect and his top tip has to be to use a muffin tray to really get them to rise.
2 cups/260g Self Raising Flour
1 & 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Sea Salt
2 cups/480ml Soy Milk
Vegetable Oil, for greasing
Pre heat your oven to 210 degrees C. Add around 2 tsp of oil to each hole in a Yorkshire pudding baking tin.
In a large mixing bowl add the flour, baking powder & salt then mix well.
Whisk together the batter ingredients until smooth then transfer the batter into a jug.
Now its time to get the baking tray hot, place it into the oven for 4 minutes.
After 4 minutes remove the tray from the oven & quickly fill each hole with batter.
Place the tray back into the oven for 16 minutes or until the puddings are golden & have risen.
Serve straight away.
